Part two of the wardrobe essentials trilogy has arrived, if you haven't seen part one, you can find it here. Naturally, part one included the really vital parts of a wardrobe, after all you can't get much more essential than jeans, white shirts, oxford shirts, brogues, and dress shoes. However, this won't stop me from trying! Furthermore, I've included a shop-type-thing at the end of this post so you can see what I've mentioned.

For any man that appreciates the sartorial side of style, or has a fondness for looking sharp in general, there a few wardrobe essentials. Granted, it actually isn't absolutely essential to own all of these, however 'Menswear Wardrobe Items that you Should Probably Own, but Not Essentially', was a bit too wordy for a title.

Hopefully you will read this post whilst constantly thinking, 'I have that. I have that. I have that'. Which almost makes this seem pointless. On the other hand, this may help to reaffirm the staples in your wardrobe and bring back the basics after they've been overlooked for so long. There are quite a few essentials, so I will make this a three part series.

Next - Wish List Outfit #1

Friday, 9 August 2013

After torturing myself earlier, I've decided to do my first wish list post. A wish list being all the things I want and could actually afford at some point in the near future. What better way to do this than to have a wish list from the company I work for? (Because if I decide I want this stuff, I get it 25% off). Also, the picture above is the actual store that I work in too.

Next may not always be considered to be the most fashion-forward of high street companies. However, the trends actually tend to be on level with places like Topman, just with a bit more of a hint of maturity. For this reason, I really like Next, it's based on the real man, not the truly skinny, teenage indie stereotype of the Topman consumer. Being 6ft2, broad shouldered, and generally big, this suits me well. And so, this is to counteract the torture from the Harrods Lust List.

Here's my chosen outfit from Next...

Harrods - Lust List Outfit #2

Lust List: The items I'd love to have but probably won't be able to afford until I win the lottery/get an awesome job.

For my second Lust List, I have selected items for the world-famous Harrods. It should be fun but also mockingly expensive, so I'm looking forward to finding a lot of clothes that I really want to have, but really can't afford.

Here's the outcome of me torturing myself...
