BoConcept - The Guest*

Advertising is a form of magic to me... There's something mesmerising about the give and take of a well thought through campaign. Slight of hand and well chosen words can be used together to adjust your perceptions and thoughts. Almost all of the greatest adverts out there will build up your assumptions about what the message, brand or intent is, until finally whipping the rug from under your feet at the last second for the big reveal of the brand, message or intent.

So I have a campaign to show you and I will allow you to watch it with no idea of what's going on like I did...

Okay, so to give a little more background: BoConcept is a global furniture chain that makes some pretty awesome furniture and many other things. They also seem to have a rather brilliant sense of humour and taste in actors - The campaign made me laugh and had me intrigued from the off. Mads Mikkelsen, as I'm sure you know, is a phenomenal actor and plays this role to an impressive level. The whole campaign plays perfectly to me and makes me really wish I could buy every item I see there.

I will admit that BoConcept is far more expensive than what I would usually decide mention on O&U, but they happen to have a competition going on at the moment where you can win an interior makeover worth £7500. It's hard to use the cost excuse when there is potential to get it for free.
