It's been a while, both since my last post with Lacoste and the last time I posted anything at all. I was lucky enough to spend a significant amount of time in Scotland with my family, with a lot of it based in an area with no signal and no wifi. Honestly, it was a welcome break. What helped further was that I could utilise Richard's photography skills once again for a few posts, beginning with another collaboration with Lacoste.
Clothing, and footwear in particular, is all about the throwback at the moment. Many old, forgotten, brands are making a comeback (whether that's for the better or not is completely subjective), alongside the bigger brands revitalising heritage styles. Lacoste have been pulling this in throughout all the shoes I have had over this year, from the beautiful L.ight LT12s to the practical L.andsailing SPM.
The latest addition to my Lacoste collection, the Straightset Premium in Off White, is the epitome of their tennis heritage, without looking too much like I should be on a court. Lacoste have served up - yes, that pun just happened - style and quality, yet again. White trainers are often a dangerous game, continuously straddling the line between looking classic and looking cheap; these take a sizeable step onto the side of classic with a touch of subtle sophistication, especially with an embossed crocodile replacing the stitched on green croc.

If you are looking for some comfy shoes (who isn't?) then these hit the mark. I didn't have any issue walking around Glasgow on the first day of wearing these, escaping with no rubbing of any sort. If that's not a testament to their quality and comfort, what is? These are my third pair of white trainers and they are probably my favourite. Each have their strengths but the Straightset Premium from Lacoste are the beautiful all-rounder.
