#ASOSDenim*

Monday, 28 September 2015

Once again, I am working with the lovely folks over at ASOS. They are currently pushing their denim range with a Men's Denim Style Guide, covering all the fits from Extreme Super Skinny through Slim, Tapered and even Drop Crotch. They break down the fit with each one, describing why to go for that fit depending on what you're really after. With all this in mind and knowing exactly what kind of jeans I like, they sent me out a pair of Stretch Slim Jeans in Dark Wash.

Being a lover of raw and selvedge denim, finding a pair of jeans for £30 is a struggle for me. I'm not turning my nose up here, I have no intention of becoming a denim snob, but heavy denim is a personal preference. I have had a pair of dry Edwin ED-55 that I simply couldn't live without - they are my daily choice, yet wearing a pair of stretch jeans in a dark wash is a nice break every now and then. They are as comfy as chinos without the effort of leaving a trail of indigo in my wake.

Vintage Jacket | Selected Homme Shirt | ASOS Jeans | Anonymous Ism Socks | Adidas x White Mountaineering Shoes

Easy to wear and easy to style - that's how I like it. Contrary to the fact that I'm a fashion blogger and a fashion student, I don't like to put too much thought into what I wear in the morning. I have consciously built up my wardrobe to be able to throw on whatever is close and call it an outfit (Seriously). These fit right into that description as they work with everything. The added bonus is that Beth loves them so they are first choice whenever I want to score some extra Brownie points.

Here I have styled them up with some of my favourite items. A vintage jacket, one of my longest surviving shirts from Selected Homme, a pair of Anonymous Ism socks, and my Adidas x White Mountaineering Stan Smiths. Very little thought went into this outfit (the fact that they are all favourite items was a complete coincidence) which is exactly why I was so happy with it. The test of a good pair of jeans is whether you can put them on without thinking and leave the house looking like you've made the effort.

Definitely take a look at the #ASOSDenim Guide on the ASOS website, it may be exactly what you need to help you find your next denim love affair.

Cheers guys,
Robert.
