£100 Budget Outfit #1

Sunday 18 August 2013

Being both a student and generally very poor with money, I have decided to do a wish list that is based on having a £100 budget. Being good at finding bargains is definitely going to help with this challenge, but there is still a very strong challenge. To make it even harder, I have set myself 10 ground rules to make sure I can't cheat the challenge.

Here are the rules...
1. A jacket must be included
2. At least one accessory must be included
3. The top has to be a shirt, not a t-shirt
4. It has to be fashionable, not crap
5. The use of eBay and/or Primark is strictly prohibited
6. The use of any supermarket brands is prohibited
7. Sales are allowed (Otherwise this would almost be impossible)
8. The shoes have to be nice. Not plimsolls
9. Each item of clothing has to be available in at least 2 sizes
10. The total must not exceed £100, not even by a penny.

(Please comment if you believe any rules should be added or taken away)

The Outfit:

Price: £40 £20

Total: £20

Price: £25 £7.50

Total: £27.50

Price: £35 £15

Total: £42.50

Price: £25

Total: £67.50

The Accessories

Price: £10

Total: £77.50

Price: £30 £22.50

Total: £100

There you go, a simple and stylish outfit that doesn't break any of the 10 rules above, nor does it break the bank. I'm especially proud that this equals exactly £100 too. It goes to show that you don't have to spend a small fortune on clothes any more, you can easily get a great outfit for cheap.

Have a go at this yourself if you like and see what you can find. Please feel free to comment with your finds or your list, I'd love to hear from you.

Cheers guys,
O&U.
