"When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life" - Samuel Johnson

If you have been reading for a while, or especially if you follow my YouTube channel, you will know that I absolutely love London  Whenever I am able to be there, I will be, and I am vastly more comfortable there than I am anywhere else. Winchester is where I live; London is where I belong. This isn't to discredit Winchester, I have completely fallen in love with the place, but it doesn't offer me the opportunity and expansive availability of everything like The Big Smoke. This brings me to the jaw dropping artwork above... Hand Drawn Map of London by Jenni Sparks.

Could you ask for anything of greater beauty or richer detail than this? It is possibly the most apt representation of London for this day and age, let alone the fact that it's bloody awesome. Heavily considering making a purchase of this print in the future.

The detail is absolutely phenomenal, meticulously bringing the real character of each area to life. Key attractions are featured in their exact places, allowing for a scarily accurate portrayal of London as a cultural place, not simply another city on another boring map. I've spent my fair share of time staring at tube maps, never truly knowing where anything is in relation to anywhere else. Finally I have an idea!

I am lost for words to adequately describe how in awe of this print I am, especially as it started out being hand drawn. All I can say is that I saw it in The Gift Box, BoxPark, and couldn't get it out of my mind. I ended up searching online for an hour to find it again and haven't really stopped looking at it since. Every time I look at it I see something else, and that's just... Lovely jubbly!

Do you want this print as much as me?

Cheers guys,
Robert.
