Around this time of year, as I'm sure many of you have experienced with Christmas and New Year, there are a lot of parties going on. However, to back this up, there isn't a lot of money going around (although that may just be me). To battle this, I'm working with Topman to bring you an item of clothing that can be worn from day to night with ease, merging that transition between casual and smart, and saving you a little money in the process.
It was easy to dress up with a smart shirt, tie and a pair of grey trousers. It looked smart with the pinstripe but without going over-the-top, which is ideal for most events. Honestly, it was quite fun going back to dressing like this again (there is a reason that this blog has 'Overdressed' in the title), but as you now know, I'm partial to a pair of jeans and boots these days, which fit equally as well with this key piece.
For the casual side, I paired the coach jacket with a Cord Overshirt, a Khaki Classic Sweatshirt (both from Topman), some jeans and my Red Wing Iron Rangers. This is one of those outfits that I can see myself wearing a lot, although wearing the overshirt as a standard shirt did make me fairly warm.
I managed to get this post up later than intended, however this does mean that you can enjoy a bargain with the Navy Pinstripe Coach Jacket going down to an incredibly reasonable £18 in the sale. No excuse to not look great at the next party!
