ASOS x Le Coq Sportif Arthur Ashe

Firstly, allow me to give my apologies for my absence of late. There have been a multitude of reasons, from going through the break up of a long relationship, being admitted to hospital, all the way to working on my final ever university project that accounts for 50% of my overall grade. It has been an incredibly eventful couple of months and I have to thank ASOS for being patient with me in regards to this post (alongside other companies who are also waiting), I am now back up and running, feeling a bit drained, but I definitely have the ability to stand awkwardly in front of a camera and then sit down and write about it. It's the little victories.

Now for the post itself...

ASOS were kind enough to send me a pair of the new white Arthur Ashe Palais Pack trainers from Le Coq Stortif. I am the first to admit that I have a fair few white trainers now, therefore these had some stiff competition. I haven't ever been sure where I stand on Le Coq Sportif as a brand as I have never owned anything from them, but I figure they would have struggled to stay around and relevant for this long without being of a decent quality, and I was right. I can't fault the quality at all.

The profile of the Arthur Ashe trainers is a bit lower than what I am used to (being a fan of Stan Smiths), but Arthur Ashe himself was a tennis player, so this was predictable and purely an issue due to being different to what I am used to. The main thing I would note is that I think these trainers are more suited to being worn with shorts or chinos than with jeans, but I had to give it a try.

Featuring a woven textile upper and Arthur Ashe embroidered in black script, they surpass the average plain white trainers, which, especially in the upcoming summer, can look monotonous as everyone dresses for the weather. These will help differentiate you from the pack and the fact that they are textile instead of leather will only make them cooler to wear.
